At Handyman Harpenden Solutions, we believe in offering transparent and fair competitive pricing to suit every job. Whether it’s a quick fix or a more detailed project or repair, we’re here to provide great value without compromising on quality.​

No Job Too Small

​

Unlike many trades who require full-day bookings, we offer the flexibility to book us for just an hour - our minimum charge. If your small or odd job can be completed within that time, you'll only pay for the hour! This way, you’re only charged for the time it takes to get the job done, making it perfect for those smaller tasks that need a professional touch without breaking the bank.

How It Works

  • Hourly Pricing
    Our hourly rates are as follows, with a minimum charge of one hour. The first hour is £60, which includes travel and setup, and any additional hours are charged at £40 each (No VAT) 

  • Project Pricing
    For suitable longer projects, we offer a day rate of £289 (No VAT) for an 8am – 4pm workday. In most cases, I work alone, helping you save on additional labour costs while ensuring and maintaining high-quality workmanship.

  • Bespoke work 

        Bespoke simply means something you can’t buy ready-made off the shelf. It refers            to specialist work that is tailor-made to your individual specifications. Please note,              bespoke projects are charged at a higher rate due to the additional time and                        expertise involved​

    Before we begin, you’ll receive a detailed, no-obligation quote, usually following a visit, tailored to your specific needs. This ensures you’ll know exactly what to expect.

    We pride ourselves on transparency. You’ll only pay for the work we’ve agreed upon and quoted for – no surprises, guaranteed!

  • Why the hour to day rate difference?
    Our day rate of £289 offers excellent value for suitable longer duration projects. It allows uninterrupted focus on your tasks, resulting in a lower cost per hour compared to shorter jobs.

  • Our standard rates cover general handyman work during normal working hours. Jobs outside these hours (before 8am, after 4pm, or on weekends), or tasks that involve excessive strain and/or physical effort, specialist skills, or particularly difficult conditions, may be priced differently.
